PAN services for distributors and local business operators
A PAN service distributor business connects a business operator with the digital services available through their account. SMRPAN is a private digital services platform, not a government website or the authority that issues PAN cards. Before joining, review the services, account role, current charges and support arrangements that apply to your business. Registration does not guarantee a particular income, number of customers, official authorisation or application approval.
Who should explore this business option?
Existing CSC and online service operators, PAN centres, mobile shops and galleries, medical stores, general stores, Xerox shops and multiservice centres can explore whether this is suitable for their existing work. Bank CSP operators, insurance offices and finance service providers can also ask about available account options. Being in one of these categories does not automatically establish eligibility or give permission to use another organisation's name. Confirm the account role and service conditions with SMRPAN before accepting customer work.
How to register on SMRPAN
- Open the SMRPAN registration page. Read the account options and current registration charges displayed there.
- Enter your full name, mobile number and email address. Use contact details that you control and can access for verification and support.
- Create and confirm your password. The registration screen specifies a minimum of eight characters; choose a strong password that you do not reuse elsewhere.
- Select the account type shown on the form. If you want a Distributor account, check that this is the selected option before continuing.
- If someone referred you, enter their registered sponsor mobile number in the optional field. Leave it blank when you do not have a sponsor.
- Follow the email OTP and registration payment steps shown by the portal. The registration page states that the account is not created until email verification and payment are successfully verified.
- After registration, sign in and review the services and permissions actually available to your account. Ask support to clarify any option before offering it to customers.
Prepare your service workflow before accepting requests
Decide who will handle customer enquiries, verify entries, explain charges and follow up on pending requests. Check your equipment and internet connection, and learn how the available application and reporting screens work. Do not submit a real paid application merely as a training exercise. Ask about an appropriate demonstration or guidance if you need help understanding the workflow.
Explain the selected service to the customer before starting. Confirm the current document requirements on the provider's instructions for that application type. Do not treat a general business guide as a fixed legal checklist. Collect only information that the selected service needs and obtain the customer's consent for the intended use.
Services and account limits
Explore the information pages for NSDL-related PAN services, UTI-related services, lost PAN guidance and the PAN services overview. The service that appears in an information guide may still require an eligible account, a separate provider process or additional verification. Your account dashboard and current service terms determine what you can actually use.
Distributor access should not be assumed to include unlimited retailer creation, a specific commission, settlement facilities, bulk PAN issuance or every advertised service. Confirm each business feature and its charges with SMRPAN. Do not promise a government authorisation, a fixed processing time or guaranteed acceptance without verified current information.
Customer support, receipts and privacy
Keep the transaction reference and receipt needed to follow up on a request. When contacting support, describe the service, date and visible error clearly. Do not post PAN numbers, identity documents or full application references publicly. Use the support process provided by the portal and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive documents.
Protect your account password and limit staff access appropriately. Customers should complete any required OTP verification through the provider's intended secure process. Do not ask customers to disclose bank passwords or other unrelated credentials. Keep records only as necessary for the service and applicable requirements, with appropriate access controls.
Check the business details before joining
Review the current registration amount, per-service charges, available account tools, support arrangements and any applicable refund terms. Estimate your own operating costs and customer demand. Earnings depend on real transactions and agreed business terms; this page makes no earnings guarantee. If you need a particular distributor feature, obtain a clear explanation before relying on it.
Review registration options or open SMRPAN support. Support may require signing in. No account is created and no payment is made merely by reading this guide.
